Founded in 2022 by Glendon Lloyd, Bonza was born out of three years of intensive research into the profound impact of nutrition on dog health. In March 2023, the brand launched its flagship product: the Superfoods and Ancient Grains formula.

In 2025, Bonza launched its website and Amazon store in Germany. With that milestone, Bonza started leveraging byrd’s warehouse location in Germany not just for the German market, but for additional EU countries, including Austria, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
